This article describes how to sign up for Databricks Community Edition. Unlike the Databricks Free Trial, Community Edition doesn’t require that you have your own cloud account or supply cloud compute or storage resources.
However, several features available in the Databricks Platform Free Trial, such as the REST API, are not available in Databricks Community Edition. For details, see Databricks Community Edition FAQ.
To sign up for Databricks Community Edition:
1.Click Try Databricks here or at the top of this page.
2.Enter your name, company, email, and title, and click Continue.
3.On the Choose a cloud provider dialog, click the Get started with Community Edition link. You’ll see a page announcing that an email has been sent to the address you provided.
To log back in to your Databricks Community Edition account, visit community.cloud.databricks.com.
