Living in Kanagawa. Kanagawa Prefecture is located to the south of Tokyo, in the Kanto region of Honshu. It connects almost seamlessly with the Tokyo Metropolitan Area with many of its public transportation services feeding to and from central Tokyo.
Sagamihara is the third most populous city in Kanagawa Prefecture after Yokohama and Kawasaki. Housing and the general cost of living are a lot lower out here as it’s a good distance from both Tokyo and Yokohama – about 45 minutes by train from Shinjuku and 35 minutes to Yokohama.
