Skye is one of the main characters of
Early Life
At some point in her life, Skye became a skilled computer hacker and a member of hacktivist group Rising Tide, whose main aim is to reveal the world of superhumans and S.H.I.E.L.D.
Season 1
Skye is in New York City when a supposed apartment building explodes in a building near to her. Using her phone, she records Michael Peterson saving a woman from the building and exhibiting superhuman abilities. Not long after this happened, Skye posted the footage on the Rising Tide website. Skye follows Michael from the scene of the building into a diner, where she warns him about S.H.I.E.L.D. and persuades him to meet her at her office. A little while later, Skye is broadcasting a Rising Tide message from her van when Agents Ward and Coulson pinpoint her location and take her in for questioning. Aware that Skye does not trust the two agents, Coulson injects Ward with a truth serum and tells Skye to ask him anything. Skye then agrees to help the team by sending them data from her van to decrypt a surveillance message. However, after sending the data to the team, she is kidnapped by Michael and taken to Union Station. Skye, under Michael's influence, begins deleting his files from the S.H.I.E.L.D. database but also sends them her exact location. When the team arrive, Skye is taken inside the station by Michael until he is eventually neutralised by the team and put in a stable condition. Skye then joins the S.H.I.E.L.D. team to assist in their next case, an 0-8-2. ("Pilot")
