This guitar is an authentic, hand-aged 1958 Korina Explorer reissue manufactured by the Gibson Custom, Art and Historic Division. It has undergone an exclusive hand-aging and finishing process by Historical Finish Expert, Tom Murphy, in order to replicate Allen Collins’ Korina Explorer from Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The Allen Collins Explorer has a Korina body and neck along with Rosewood fretboard, a Maestro Vibrola, and two Classic '57 humbuckers. The guitar is modeled after Collins' '58 Explorer, down to every last ding and dent, and including the labelmaker message stuck on the back of the guitar.
