Bogislav IX (German: Bogislaw IX., Polish: Bogusław IX; 1407/1410 – 7 December 1446), was a duke of Pomerania in Pomerania-Stolp, whose residence was Stargard. His first cousin Eric of Pomerania tried in vain to have him recognized as his heir to the Kalmar Union. Bogislav was the son of Bogislav VIII, Duke of Pomerania, and Sophia of Holstein.

Sep 15, 2023 · Bogislaw IX (Polish: Bogusław IX; 1407/1410 – 7 December 1446) was a duke of Pomerania in Pomerania-Stolp, whose residence was Stargard. Bogislaw was the son of Bogislaw VIII, Duke of Pomerania, and Sophia of Holstein. On June 24, 1432 he married Maria of Masovia, daughter of Siemowit IV, Duke of Masovia and Alexandra of Lithuania.
He inherited all of the previously partitioned Duchy of Pomerania and became its sole ruler in 1478. He was succeeded by his sons George I and Barnim XI . Before Bogislaw's reign, the Duchy of Pomerania had for a long time been divided into several splinter duchies, ruled by relatives of the Griffin house.

For ten years, Eric lived in Gotland where he fought against the merchant trade in the Baltic. From 1449 to 1459, Eric succeeded Bogislaw IX as Duke of Pomerania and ruled Pomerania-Rügenwalde, a small partition of the Duchy of Pomerania-Stolp (Polish: Księstwo Słupskie), [26] as "Eric I".
