The appellant Bruce Kohl, who was 18 years of age at the time, was involved in a one-car accident on March 30, 1985 *85 at approximately 4:00 a.m. Appellant's vehicle struck a pole and then hit a retaining wall.
While proceeding around a sharp bend in the road, Mr. Kohl's vehicle left the road, struck a pole and a retaining wall. The accident resulted in the deaths of his two passengers, Jeffrey Greb and Mark Moser. Mr. Kohl was rendered unconscious. A patrolman arrived at the scene of the accident.
