  6. Jun 1, 1994 · I found this book to be mediocre. The identity of Elizabeth's true killer was predictable and lacked surprise. The development of love between Liz and Garrett felt abrupt and forced. The rushed pacing didn't allow for a deep emotional or physical connection to form between them. Just when they finally connect, the story quickly concludes.
