Aug 22, 2007 · I am trying to drop the gas tank in a full size 1994 Chevy blazer… I removed the fuel tank straps with a floor jack under the tank for support (its over 1/2 full of course, and I cant run it dry becasue it is spraying fuel onto the exsaust).
Loosen the filler neck hose clamp at the fuel tank and disconnect the fuel tank filler neck from the fuel neck. Support the fuel tank and remove tank straps. Lower the fuel tank to gain access and disconnect fuel/vapor hoses and the electrical connections at the sender.
Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Drain the tank. 3. Raise the rear of your vehicle and support it with jackstands. 4. Remove the clamp on the filler neck and the vent tube hose. 5. If equipped, remove the gauge hose which is attached to the frame.

Jan 29, 2015 · Make sure the nipple is pointed in between the 2 dashes on the tank so it will line up with the hose. After the epoxy has set cut the nipple of off the old vent valve. Then insert the cut side of the nipple into the hose leaving enough space for the locking clip on the fitting.
