Season 2 is the Clone High reboot and the second season, overall. It premiered on Max on May 23, 2023. It is the first season to air since the original run's cancellation in 2003. Season 2 is currently streaming on Max in the United States, and airs domestically on Fox8 in Australia and Crave TV in Canada.

On July 2, 2020, it was announced that a revival of Clone High was in development at MTV Entertainment Studios. The original creators, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Bill Lawrence, were set to return, with Erica Rivinoja, the original series writer, serving as the showrunner and co-writing the pilot with Lord and Miller.
Max ordered two seasons of the series on February 10, 2021. The first episode of the revival, titled "Let's Try This Again," was revealed by Christopher Miller on June 23, 2021.
On March 24, 2023, it was announced that a majority of the original cast would be returning for the revival. However, the character of Gandhi would not be returning, and the role of Cleopatra, originally voiced by Christa Miller, would now be voiced by Mitra Jouhari. Christa Miller would instead voice Candide Simpson.
Additionally, new cast members were revealed, including Ayo Edebiri as Harriet Tubman, Vicci Martinez as Frida Kahlo, Kelvin Yu as Confucius, Neil Casey as Christopher Columbus, Jana Schmieding as Sacagawea, Sam Richardson as Wesley, Mo Gaffney as Ms. Grumbles, Al Madrigal as Frederico, Danny Pudi as Dr. Neelankavil, Emily Maya Mills as Ethel Merman, and fictionalized versions of Michael Bolton, Ian Ziering, and Steve Kerr, along with Mandy Moore returning to voice herself.
•All original cast members are voicing their original characters except for Christa Miller, who is voicing Candide Sampson instead of Cleopatra. Michael McDonald, voice of Gandhi in the first season, will not return due to the controversy of its character.
•The promotional image for this season, showing all the main cast members laying down on the grass is an allusion to a promotional image for One Tree Hill, depicting the main cast members all laying down on a bed.
