David Wooster of North Haven was the first keeper to live in the station’s rubblestone dwelling and tend the light in the rubblestone tower, and he served until his death at age sixty-one in 1841. Jeremiah Berry built both of the structures at a cost of $1,800.

From Maine Families in 1790: In 1744 after the death of his parents, David Woster came to America with an uncle. He is said to have landed in Boston where he learned a spar maker's trade. He settled at Fox Islands, the first permanent white settler in 1762.
I am looking for information on the lineage of David Wooster of MAINE, who was probably born in Cheddington, Buckinghamshire, England 1732 and died at North Haven, Maine in 1808. We have a baptism record from 1735 for a David Wooster son of John and Elizabeth at High Wycombe, Bucks, but we don't know if he's "our" David.
