Verse 26. - The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee. Ἐπάραὶ.. τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ σέ, Septuagint. This clause seems to repeat the last in a somewhat stronger form, as implying more personal and individual attention from the Lord.
1. We are Enriched with divine blessing. See how the benediction begins in verse 24 – “The Lord bless you…” This is very intimate: “The Lord…you…”, and He has so very wonderfully blessed us in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).
God loves to bless His people, but He also wants His people to call on Him to ask for His blessings. It is the tri-unity of the Godhead that is being called upon to bless us in this verse.
