An inflated sense of what is sometimes called psychological entitlement[2] – unrealistic, exaggerated, or rigidly held – is especially prominent among narcissists.
In psychology, entitlement refers to “a personality trait characterized by pervasive feelings of deservingness, specialness, and exaggerated expectations” (Grubbs & Exline, 2016). An entitled person believes they deserve special treatment, certain privileges, or additional resources (Lange et al., 2019).
