Jul 3, 2019 · Funny Face drink mixes were pre-sweetened with Cyclamates, and advertising made the benefits to harried mothers very evident. The result was big sales. Kids loved the advertising too. The drinks came with names like Goofy Grape, Loudmouth Lime, Rootin’ Tootin’ Raspberry, and Freckle Face Strawberry.

Funny Face was an American brand of powdered drink mix originally made by the Pillsbury Company from 1964 to 1994 (and in the Mid West and New England to 2001). The brand was introduced as competition to the more familiar (and better-selling) Kool-Aid, made by Kraft Foods.
Nov 5, 2012 · What made Funny Face so different from Kool Aid was that it was a “sugar free drink” and each flavor had a unique character. This made it totally ideal for advertising and excellent promotions. They even released a record album!
