Oct 10, 2020 · The only island in Lake Tahoe, Fannette Island is quite picturesque in Emerald Bay. We were lucky to see it from both Inspiration Point, as well as from a boat in the water. Many people would anchor just off the island and brave the climb to the summit.

Fannette Island view at Emerald Bay State Park is one of the most picturesque views in the Lake Tahoe area. It is absolutely worth the circuitous drive on Route 89. “ Do stop and take photos! It's charming! May 2022. Fannette Island is set in the middle of Emerald Bay and is about as picturesque a scene as it gets!
