Ardverikie's beautiful surroundings make it an obvious choice as a filming location in Scotland. Ardverikie has long been a star of the silver screen, and is perhaps most famous as the setting for "Glen Bogle" in the much loved BBC series Monarch of the Glen - but it has also featured in many other films, TV programmes and commercials.
Filming took between six and eight months per series in the Badenoch and Strathspey area of the Scottish Highlands, in particular at Ardverikie House, which was the location for the fictional "Glenbogle House". In September 2023, the series was made permanently available on BBC iPlayer. [1]
