The National Hurricane Center Storm Surge Unit has released Version 3 of the Storm Surge Risk Maps. These risk maps depict storm surge flooding vulnerability for people living in hurricane-prone areas near the coast. This new version includes better resolution of inundation risk and additional mapped locations.
Searching by storm name and year displays a map of storm surge observations and a table with observation location, storm surge and/or storm tide height, as well as the datum and type of observation. Searching by location displays a map of all peak storm surge observations within a buffer zone.
