Frankie and Johnny's is a classic New Orleans neighborhood bar serving great food, located right off Tchoupitoulas and Arabella, uptown. This is more of a local place versus a tourist destination. You can find ice cold Barq's root beer here served in a chilled mug upon request and a spectacular roast beef Poboy.

THE BEST NEIGHBORHOOD RESTAURANT... in New Orleans. Frankie and johnny’s restaurant was opened in 1942 by Johnny Morreale and his then brother in law Frank Gaudin. The restaurant thrived feeding hungry dock workers and merchant men who made a living working on th river.
