Oct 29, 2018 · Biography. Gerhard I, Count of Holstein-Itzehoe, was the son of Adolf IV von Schauenburg und Holstein and Hedwig zur Lippe. He married secondly Alessia of Monferrat (no children). Gerhard I died on 21 December 1290 and was buried in Hamburg.
