  2. There is no version where they go to Valinor. All they ever do is getting on a boat and sailing westwards. An optimistic assumption is that they reach Tol Eressëa, but not Valinor. For Sam this is more likely than for Gimli, because he was a ringbearer similar to Frodo or Bilbo.
