Licensing Programs. If you’re interested in a career in real estate, you must earn a license. The required coursework is determined by the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation (IDFPR). The REALTORS® Real Estate School is the auxiliary real estate school for the Chicago Association of REALTORS®.
The first step to get your Illinois real estate license is to enroll in a real estate school and complete a 75-hour real estate pre-licensing course. The 75-hour course includes 60-hour Broker Pre-License Topics and 15-hour Broker Pre-License Applied Real Estate Principles, both of which are mandatory as part of your pre-licensing education.
