The cheapest gas I've found out there is in Barstow at the Circle K. Exit "Main Street East" and head west towards downtown. In less than a mile you'll see the Circle K on the right. Baker is the most expensive; 30 cents to 50 cents more per gallon. Ludlow prices are in between. The gas station on the south side of the freeway has a Dairy Queen!

Answer 1 of 5: For those of you who are thinking about driving to Vegas from L.A. (or vice versa) because you want to stop at the outlets in Barstow, save yourself the trouble! We were just there and the outlets are pretty much all closed up now...
There are numerous places, just pick whichever you prefer. I've stopped a few times at the Lenwood Road exit (Exit 178) a few miles west of Barstow where there's a cluster of gas stations and restaurants, but only because it was convenient, not because it was anything special.
