Doom 64 is a first-person shooter game by Midway. It was first released for the Nintendo 64 in 1997, as the second spin-off game in the Doom series after Final Doom (1996), and the fourth game in the series overall.
Originally released on Nintendo 64 in 1997, DOOM 64 is an action first-person shooter and a direct sequel to the events of DOOM II. In celebration of DOOM’s 25th anniversary, an enhanced version of DOOM 64 was released on PC and consoles in 2020 and can now be played here.

History. Doom 64 box cover. Doom 64, released April 4, 1997 for the Nintendo 64, is a sequel to Doom II. The game has all new graphics and runs on a modified Doom engine, based on the Sony PlayStation port. Doom 64 was released by Midway, in cooperation with id Software.

Cacodemons go from floating red meatballs to horned strongmen. Imps and Pinkies gain terrifying detail, as does their fiery realm.
