   Magna is a nice suburb in Salt Lake County. While out of the way from the big city, you are still only 10 minutes away from the city. Located on the west side of the valley, the views are beautiful. You can see the wasatch mountains, and you are right on the base of the Oquirrh Mountains.

   Probably depends on personal preference. Herriman is a newer nicer more Mormon area . I like the community in Magna, but it is a poorer area, and parts of it can seem sketchy. That said, lots of newer Apts and Townhouses have been built in Magna in recent years, and it is closer to SLC than Herriman.
