The KDA preserves Jack Kirby’s wonderful works in a lasting archive of high resolution scans to standards used by museums and libraries around the world.
Jack Kirby is widely regarded as the King of Comics, with a career in comics that started in the late 1930's until his passing in 1994. Jack is best known for creating Captain America in the '40s with Joe Simon with Timely Comics. In the 1950's Kirby created the Challengers of the Unknown for National Comics (DC), and also worked on the strip Sky Masters of the Space Force.

Biography. A comic book artist who began working during the Golden Age of comic books and continued into the 1990s, Jack Kirby (1917-1994) created or co-created hundreds of characters, including many of today's best known superheroes. Well-regarded by his peers and fans as "King" Kirby, he began working at Marvel Comics (then Timely Comics) in 1940 with frequent collaborator Joe Simon.
