Five stars for the McHenry Outdoor Theatre - it's so great to see a drive in theatre as so many in the area have unfortunately closed. The ticket prices are pretty reasonable and comparable to the actual movie theatre ($12 a person) but that includes 2 movies - they play a variety of a new one first and sometimes another new one or an old one ...

Naturally McHenry County. Drive-in theaters were all the rage in the 1950's. They offered a casual movie going experience where you could pull your Thunderbird up, hook the speakers to your car and enjoy the latest flick. McHenry was right on trend by adding the Skyline Theater in July of 1951.
