May 1, 2018 · The book came with the floppy square record with the basic scale boxes used, some riffs (or cliché's as they called them), tracks and backing tracks featuring the legendary Pat Thrall cranking out some good ol early 70's lead. There's 3 tracks broken into backing & lead for the first half and backing only for the second half to try your hand.
Patrick Eric Thrall (born 26 August, 1953) [1] is an American rock guitarist. Thrall began his recording career in 1972. He played guitar, vocals, and percussion with the group Cookin' Mama, which had his brother, Preston Thrall, on percussion. They released the album New Day in 1972.
I bought the book with Pat Thrall on the cover from our local music store (in the UK) in the 80s when I first wanted to learn guitar. My only guitar experience before then was a friend showing me a few basic chords.
