Atlanta from the Ashes, more commonly known as The Phoenix, is a bronze monument located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, symbolizing Atlanta's rise from the ashes of the Civil War to become a world city.
Now the unofficial symbol of Atlanta, it represents the city that ascended from the ashes and devastation of the Civil War to become an important international city. The bronze sculpture was refurbished in 1995 and rededicated in Woodruff Park for the 1996 Centennial Olympics.

The sculpture, Atlanta from the Ashes, was given to the city by Rich’s department store on the occasion of their one-hundredth anniversary. The statue was originally located adjacent to the Rich’s store on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
