Oklahoma has among the highest rates of police violence against non-Hispanic Black Americans in the country, with a peak estimated age-standardised mortality rate of 12·20 deaths (5·36–23·19) per 100 000 in 1980 and a current rate of 3·05 deaths (1·82–4·59) per 100 000 in 2019.
