The Flag of Siberia ( Russian: Флаг Сибири, romanized : Flag Sibiri) is the unofficial flag used to represent the region of Siberia. This flag first became widely used during the Russian Civil War and the short-lived Siberian Republic.
Siberia is known for its long, harsh winters, with a January average of −25 °C (−13 °F). Although it is geographically in Asia, Russian sovereignty and colonization since the 16th century have rendered the region culturally and ethnically European.
