Swietopelk II, also Zwantepolc II or Swantopolk II, (1190/1200 — 11 January 1266), sometimes known as the Great (Polish: Świętopełk II Wielki; Kashubian: Swiãtopôłk II Wiôldżi), was the ruling Duke of Pomerelia-Gdańsk from 1215 until his death.

Swietopelk II, also known as Zwantepolc II or Swantopolk II, was a legendary figure who reigned as the Duke of Pomerania from 1215 until his death in 1266. He was a member of the Samborides, and during his reign, he established himself as one of the most powerful rulers of the region.
He married Princess of Poland Euphrosyne Odonownicowna Piast about 1217. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 3 daughters. He died on 10 January 1266, in Poland, at the age of 77, and was buried in Oliwa, Kartuzy, Pomerania, Poland.

War. On 15 June 1236, Swietopelk announced to his brothers that he had designated his oldest son, Mestwin II, as his successor, as the duke of Pomerelia. This violated the agnatic seniority law, which stated that the eldest brother should be the successor. [1]
