Florida’s Uniform Crime Reports program has traditionally collected crime data in a summary format. In summary -based reporting, offenses are placed into a small group of categories known as Index Crimes. Further, reported offenses are limited to one crime per incident.
Florida’s Forcible Sex Offenses (FSO) include forcible rape, attempted rape, forcible sodomy, and forcible fondling. Users of this site will note that various reports will use either a Forcible Rape or a FSO category in Index Offenses.
