The U.S. Air Force Academy doesn’t just graduate cadets. It produces the nation’s best leaders of character. From the application process, to the first day of Basic Cadet Training, to final exams, the Academy seeks out and trains cadets to adhere to qualities of moral excellence.
For the current Admissions cycle, candidate kits will open July 1, 2024. Application deadlines are based on when you entered the candidate phase. Your specific deadline to complete your file is posted on your portal. You must complete the required items by the deadline posted.

Pre-candidate Phase. The admissions process begins with our Pre-candidate Questionnaire, available online starting March 1 every year. This online form gives you the opportunity to self-report important qualifications, including your grade point average, class rank and extracurricular activities.
