Jun 24, 2024 · We enjoyed snorkeling and swimming at two of the amazing beaches in Bahia Honda State Park. Sandspur beach is a white sand beautiful beach on the Atlantic Ocean. The much smaller beach on the gulf side has some amazing snorkeling and is good for families.

Jul 8, 2011 · The beach at Bahia Honda State Park was amazing, you could walk out 80 feet or so and still be in knee high clear water. The sand was white and there wasn't a lot of rocks or rough objects in the water.

Feb 5, 2023 · Good sport for shore snorkeling to the right of the beach near the rocks - saw lobster, fish, and crabs. A fun, very easy and short hike up to the old railroad bridge for stellar views of the surrounding water. Very clean facilities for restrooms/changing stalls. Date of experience: January 2023.

Bahia Honda State Park was a fantastic place to take our keys to experience some Florida Keys beaches. We swam at the Sandspur Beach (Atlantic side) and Calusa Beach (Gulf side). Both beaches weren't too crowded and had beautiful clear water.
