A year later, Aladdin is shown to be still alive. He finds The Ring's Genie and discovers Zafar's crimes. He vows to take revenge and takes the name Ali. It is shown that his father Omar and uncle Bulbul saved him before he was killed, the latter having his father killed while saving Aladdin.
