Sep 10, 2020 · Willesden still operates as a working cemetery, with an average 25 burials a year. But the new centre offers a heritage experience for those keen to explore its rich history.
The graves, many of them privately owned and marked by private memorials, will be found in more than 12,000 cemeteries and churchyards. Willesden Jewish Cemetery contains burials of both wars. Of the 33 First World War graves, six form a small plot by the assembly hall and 22 of the 78 Second World War burials form a separate plot.
