Ginny Simms. Virginia Ellen Simms[ 1] (May 25, 1913 [ note 1] – April 4, 1994) was an American popular singer and film actress. Simms sang with big bands and with Dinah Shore, Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald, Jo Stafford, among others.
