Immediately south of the station is an air-polluted street-canyon - no wonder Rafferty couldn't wait to go back home! Needless to say, by far the best reason to visit Baker Street is to see the unlikely inspiration for a magnificent (and poignant, given the manner of Rafferty's own death) pop song.
