The target can end the effect early with a retort to your Bon Mot. This can either be a single action that has the concentrate trait or an appropriate skill action to frame their retort. The GM determines which skill actions qualify, though they must take at least 1 action.
Sep 11, 2020 · Bon Mot can be used repeatedly, incentivizes creative insults and, most importantly, rewards you appropriately. Demoralize doesn't distract the target and the enemy doesn't need to come up with a comeback.

Bon Mot Feat 1. Auditory Concentrate Emotion General Linguistic Mental Skill. Prerequisite(s) trained in Diplomacy. You launch an insightful quip at a foe, distracting them. Choose a foe within 30 feet and roll a Diplomacy check against the target’s Will DC.
At its root, Bon Mot is a hostile action (enough to lose Invisibility over) since you're applying a penalty to the opponent. Whether the opponent sees it as hostile is another matter, and likely the basis for the bonus.
Jun 5, 2021 · Bon Mot: Even if you’re not a Wit, Bon Mot is a great feat. One action to impose a minute-long -2 or -3 penalty to Will saves is very effective if you can follow it with other effects like spells or Demoralize.

Sep 20, 2022 · You might have been slinging hot fire at your enemies before taking Bon Mot, but this feat means they'll actually burn. On a critical, the penalty is even worse, but it's the one-minute duration that makes Bon Mot incredible.
