Nov 14, 2022 · The value of Canada's natural resource assets reached $1,444 billion in 2021, a 149% increase from 2020, driven by higher crude oil and mineral prices. Energy resources, mainly crude bitumen, accounted for 53% of the total value, followed by mineral resources (28%) and timber (19%).
