Feb 7, 2020 · The rules on the length of copyright have changed over time, most recently in 1998. Current law provides copyright protection for a work for (1) the life of the author plus seventy years and, (2) for works made for hire and anonymous or pseudonymous works, for 95 years from publication or 120 years from creation, whichever is shorter.
