After Logitech announced its new Xbox, PS2 and PC steering wheel at E3 this year, the company has been silent on its upcoming NASCAR branded peripheral. IGN spoke with Logitech today to uncover details on the peripheral's specs and capabilities.

Officially named the Logitech NASCAR Racing Wheel, the entry-level steering wheel will sell for an MSRP of $59.99 for the Xbox, and $49.99 for PS2 and PC. Because Microsoft's memory card slot (a.k.a. the modular expansion slot) is built into the Xbox controller instead of the system itself, Logitech's Xbox wheel in turn has a built-in memory card slot, which explains the additional $10 cost. (We'll need to explain to Logitech in the future that nobody uses those "memory card" things on Xbox.

Logitech refrained from pinning down an exact date, but the NASCAR Racing Wheel is expected to hit retail stores for all three systems before Thanksgiving, November 25, 2004. The steering wheel will work with any game, and Logitech is, as always, working with development companies for enhanced compatibility.
