CT Quest for Peace seeks to improve the lives of the poor in Nicaragua by working through proven Nicaraguan organizations to provide humanitarian aid in a variety of education, health care, arts, and microfinance initiatives, primarily directed toward women and children.
Quixote Center launched Quest for Peace in 1985 in solidarity with the people of Nicaragua, seeking to challenge the Reagan administration’s Contra War, while also providing humanitarian aid to people in the war zone in northern Nicaragua.

The principles of liberation theology have inspired Quixote Center’s program activity since its founding in 1976. We currently work in Nicaragua (Quest for Peace), Haiti (Haiti Reborn), and Mexico (InAlienable), and also engage in US-based advocacy on immigration policy and US foreign policy.
