    Grandma Sheets' Sugar Cookies
    Allrecipes
This is my Grandma's recipe -- very light in color even though there are eggs in it. We lived in southern Ohio -- besides being coarse and thick they are not terribly sweet, even with the sugar on top. They're the best! (I have to add up to 9 cups of flour because of humidity where I live.)
    Lemon Basil Butter Cookies
    Food.com
Delicate and crisp, you'll love using your garden fresh basil for these cookies. Even plain fresh basil may be substituted with exceptional results. Recipe from "Southern Living Christmas Cookies"
    Meme's Chess Tart
    Food.com
This tart is based on a classic southern pie, oozes with gooey custard and has a simple cookie-crumb crust. Modified this from a recipe from Martha Stewart Living Magazine. Tried making it as low-carb/low sugar friendly as possible, the family loved it! I'm thinking pecan crust next time...mmmmmmmm an upside down pecan pie! Let me know what you think.
    My Favorite Gingersnaps
    Food.com
These are my all-time favorite ginger cookies! The whole house smells good when these are baking. The recipe comes from Southern Living's 1970 "Our Best Recipes."
    Peanut Butter Reese's Pieces Cookies
    Food.com
The original recipe was Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies from Southern Living. I simply replaced the semisweet chocolate morsels in the original recipe with Reese's Pieces. My husband loves peanut butter and this is his favorite treat.
    Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Cookies
    Yummly
This recipe comes from the Southern Living at Home cookbook. These cookies come out of the oven soft, but they become perfectly crispy as they cool!
    Raspberry Swirl Cookies
    Food.com
Beautiful delicate sugar cookie with red swirls of raspberry/coconut/walnut filling. I've been making these since I was 11, and I can't count how many times I've been asked for the recipe. I usually toast the coconut and walnuts for the raspberry filling. I love to make these as gifts or for cookie exchanges around Christmas. I think these came from a magazine, maybe "Southern Living."
    Crispy Coconut-Oatmeal Cookies
    Food.com
This recipe has oatmeal, Rice Krispies and coconut. Very crispy and yummy. I clipped it from a Southern Living magazine years ago. It's requested time and again at my house. The key to this recipe is definitely the rice krispies. Kellogs (a Michigan based co) introduced these in 1904. This recipe represents the Midwestern U.S.
Peanut Butter and Jam Oatmeal Bars
    Food.com
This quick cookie uses a yellow cake mix and oatmeal as its base. It comes together very fast and is fiber rich. You can use whatever jam or preserves you like. This recipe came from Southern Living Magazine.
