The Wadsworth Estate was designed by Louis H. Asbury, a prominent North Carolina Architect, and was built in 1911 by E.C. Griffith, a well known Charlotte Developer. It was originally built for George Pierce Wadsworth, a local businessman whose Family operated the largest livery stable in Charlotte.
In 1911, prominent local businessman George Pierce Wadsworth commissioned the design and construction of The Wadsworth Estate, located in what is now Wesley Heights, as his family home.
