Romana, short for Romanadvoratrelundar ( / roʊmɑːnəˌdʌvrætnəˈlʌndər / ), is a fictional character in the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who. A Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey, she is a companion to the Fourth Doctor .
Younger than the Doctor by many hundreds of years, but academically smarter, Romana was initially haughty and dismissive, but she grew to enjoy her travels in the TARDIS and respect the Doctor.
