4. Activate “My City”. If you’re not having much luck finding someone on POF, you can activate the “my city” option in your location settings. It will narrow your search down a bit. This can only work if you’re positive that the person you’re looking for doesn’t live in a different city, though.

If you’ve been sent a text that has a verification code for a Plenty of Fish account, it means someone has, hopefully accidentally, used your number to try and sign up for an account. Without the code you were texted, they won’t be able to register with your number.

In the list of apps, select Plenty of Fish. There, turn the "Alerts" on or off. From any page in the app, tap the menu icon on the top right corner of the page (three vertical dots) or your device's menu button. Click SETTINGS. Under Notification Settings, turn the push notifications and alerts on or off. You can also update the alert type.
