Jan 17, 2016 · Definition. Bone tumors can be divided into primary and secondary osseous tumors. The knee joint is the most common localization of primary tumors of the bone, occurring as malignant, potentially malignant, benign, or tumorlike lesions.
Although there are innumerable processes that can lead to focal lesions in bone, we present here a review of commonly encountered bone lesions [Table 1] that can mimic bone tumors and discuss the key imaging and clinical features that can help distinguish these entities from neoplasms.
