     You shouldn't write to your output file while reading from it. Currently you update the contents of logmacs.csv in PrintPacket while iterating over it in CheckCsv.

     I would modify CheckCsv's implementation (and name) to store the monitored packets to some new variable in memory and to check whether the output file should be updated based on this newly introduced variable. This has the added advantage that it is also much more efficient.

     I would also open the file for writing just once rather than in every single write (try using a class rather than a function).

     EDIT:

     In response to your request for clarification here is a basic implementation which is along the guidelines I was aiming for:

     The major improvements which I would like to highlight:

     • The output file is opened just once, during the __enter__ method, which is invoked when the with statement is entered.
     • Rather than analyzing the output file in order to find out whether a certain client was already encountered, a local variable is maintained to hold all detected clients. Inspecting this variable is much more efficient then opening and reading the output file.

     Ok guys, here's the answer:

     • You need to install the lib called seqlog via requirements.txt for the purpose
     • In the Python script where you plan to use logger import respective namespace, i.e. import logging
     • Define SEQ configuration in a JSON file (something like this):
     • In the init.py load SEQ config: with open('./seq.config.json', 'r') as f: seq_config = json.load(f) f.close()
     • Use logging object to stream the logs to SEQ:

     logging.info("[" + obj.status + "] >> Data has been processed!")

     • Enjoy the logs posted to the SEQ console

     p.s. if you're debugging locally, set http://localhost+port in the seq.config.json instead of the remote console address

     It depends on your distribution here are the commands for CentOS and Debian/Ubuntu:Centos: yum install python3-pip

     Debian: apt install python3-pip

     (you can found command for others Distributions here https://packaging.python.org/guides/installing-using-linux-tools/#installing-pip-setuptools-wheel-with-linux-package-managers)

     Or you can install directly from the python script provided by pip developers (not recommended if you have installed your python from OS package manager): https://pip.pypa.io/en/stable/installing/#installing-with-get-pip-py

     As @chepner commented, you can create a function that enables the logger. You can also create a logging configuration file that you can parse via logging.config.fileConfig.

     Function

     You can create a function that creates the logger with the correct handler. Note that this function needs to be called only once for the entire run of the application. Indeed, the logging config is defined globally across the entire app.

     You can then use the logger created here inside any script like this:

     Note: Since the definition of the handler is global, you can also put the code, not inside a function but inside the __init__.py file of a module, defining it at first import, and making it usable throughout the entire app.

     Another way to proceed would be to use logging.config.fileConfig

     Create a logging.conf file:

     Then, you can load this file and create all the logging environment with:
