After the Pacemakers broke up in 1966, Freddie Marsden became a telephone operator, married Margaret Naylor, became a father, and later opened the Pacemaker driving school in Formby. On 9 December 2006, Freddie died of cancer at the age of 66. His funeral was held at Our Lady's Church in Formby.
