  3. American Idol can generally be caught Tuesday and Wednesday nights on FOX. However, watch listings, as airings are often extended from their original broadcast times, to as much as two hours in length. You can also catch American Idol: Rewind in syndication, a program narrated by Clay Aiken, featuring the best of past seasons.

The folks at American Idol have cut the audition rounds one week short in order to take a long-overdue longer look at the always entertaining Hollywood round, a decision I applaud wholeheartedly. I'm also glad they ditched Pasadena for the real Hollywood. Even though the actual singing part was very similar to what the contestants had to do in the audition round (sing well or go home), the fact that they were at the Kodak Theater and singing in front of an audience of their peers made it a much more dramatic process.

Before they had to face the music again, the kids were put through Idol boot camp receiving instruction from voice coaches, tips from stylists and an inspirational talk from Barry Manilow. Ryan was his usual pompous self even though he's really quite pointless until the performance shows start. Can he go away already?

147 people made it this far, and the judges only eliminated 43 of them in the two-day a cappella sing-off. Most of the cuts were lucky to even get this far but of course none of them believed it. Dennis Brigham ruined a Stevie Wonder song with his bug-eyed delivery and weak vocals, then threw a hissy fit when he was cut. First he asked, "What kind of message are you sending to America?" Uh…that you should be able to sing in order to win a singing contest? Then he stomped off and yelled, "Y'all suck as judges." Y'all should be thankful you got a free trip to California, Dennis.

If you buy this, you've been duped. This game is a quick cash-in and isn't even worth a rental. Save the receipt and return it for Karaoke Revolution. If you want to relive the experience of the TV show, watch some reruns or just sing along with your favorite CDs. Check out Amplitude for some rhythm action or Dance Dance Revolution to see what's be...
